Your Mother’s Tomato Soup

I hope from all of my other recipe posts you all can realize that I do have a great palette. Please don’t let the sheer simplicity and childlike quality of this recipe think that I am ever steering you wrong. This soup is simply my favorite soup of all time. It reminds me of coming in from the cold and having your mom throw you together something that is so simple but hits the spot just right. This soup tastes like home. This soup tastes like love. This soup tastes like childhood. I think you’ll love her.

Your Mother’s Tomato Soup

A simple tomato soup that tastes like love and childhood.
Prep Time 20 minutes
Course Soup

Ingredients
  

  • 2 23 oz. cans Campbell's tomtao soup
  • ½ t salt
  • ½ t pepper
  • 1 lb. tortellini of your choice

Instructions
 

  • Cook the tortellini as directed on the package.
  • Cook the Campbell's tomato soup as directed on the can.
  • Add the salt and pepper.
  • Add the cooked tortellini to the tomato soup.

Notes

If the tortellini noodles keep sucking up the broth, you can add water to it! This usually happens when it’s made in advance or put away for leftovers.
